We have a super simple little recipe for you today: Warm pears with raspberries – a lovely combination! You can serve these stewed pears on yogurt, porridge, with pancakes or on french toast. They are also great as a quick sweet snack. This recipe is ready in under 10 minutes so we also like to have these for breakfast on weekdays.
Serves 1
1 pear, peeled and cut into bite-sized pieces 1 handful of frozen raspberries 1 tbsp maple syrup ½ tsp vanilla extract 1 tsp lemon juice nuts as a topping
Place the pears in a small saucepan and add water so that the pears are almost covered. Cover and simmer over medium heat until the pears are soft (this step will take less time if the fruit is very ripe). Add raspberries, maple syrup and vanilla and simmer until raspberries are thawed and most of the liquid has evaporated. Add lemon juice, top with nuts and enjoy on yogurt or porridge.
